Wilma Jean Campbell Kelso, age 94, of Wilmington, passed peacefully on Tuesday, August 29, 2023.
Born in Fayette County on August 24, 1929, she was the daughter of Edith Michael Parsons.
Wilma retired from the Ohio Development Center in 1989. After retirement, she lived in Zephyrhills, Florida, for 20 years. She was an active member of the Wilmington Senior Center, loved quilting and crafts, and had been researching family genealogy since 1954. Wilma attended Bible Baptist Church in Wilmington.
Wilma is survived by her daughter, Judith Ann (Ronald) Taylor of Reesville, and daughter in-law, Phyllis J. Campbell of McArthur. Also left to cherish her memory are grandchildren: Kelli Jean (DaWayne) Hundley of Centerville and Douglas Edgar (Michelle) Campbell of New Lebanon; great-grandchildren: Hannah (Justin) Hunter of Sheridan, WY, Rachel Hundley of Centerville, Jared Hundley of Wilmington, Kaleb (Karishma) Campbell of Albuquerque, NM, and Jacob (Zahara) Campbell of Canal Winchester; great-great grandchildren: Aubrielle, Kinsley, and Jed Hunter; brothers: Larry Michael of Washington Court House and Roger Dale Parsons of Frankfort; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her mother; first husband, Junior Edgar Campbell on March 31, 1969; second husband, Raymond Paul Kelso on April 4, 1987; son, Forest Edgar (Ed) Campbell on April 23, 2016; along with five brothers: James Richard, Leroy Wade, Robert Lee, Carroll Gene, and Darrell Dean Michael.
A graveside service will be held at 11am on Saturday, September 9, 2023, at Washington Cemetery, Washington Court House. Fellowship, with family and friends, will follow at Southside Church of Christ. Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, has been entrusted with arrangements.
