Warren Samuel 'Sam' Moore

Warren Samuel Moore, age 84, of Leesburg, passed peacefully on October 22, 2022.

Born June 6, 1938, in Xenia, he was the second born to the late Warren Moore and Dona Clement Moore.

Sam is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mary Ann McFadden Moore.

A Simon Kenton High School graduate, Sam was a lifelong farmer.  Sam’s passion was God, family, and farming.  He was a hardworking grain and livestock farmer and, in later years, enjoyed being a "Road Farmer" driving around the farm and surveying the crops. He was an avid sports fan and loved watching Ohio State football and basketball along with the Cincinnati Reds. Sam was a lifelong member of St. Columbkille Catholic Church and spent over 50 years as an active New Vienna Lions Club member.  Sam was also a former member of the Knights of Columbus.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Melissa Moore.

Along with his wife, Sam is survived by their three children: Matthew (Jennifer) Moore, Steven (Teresa) Moore and Julie (Randy) Mitchell.  Also left to cherish his memory are his siblings: Ann Janda and Donald (Frances) Moore; grandchildren: Christopher (Mikaila) Moore, Jacob (Bree) Moore, Jenna (Rob) Moore, Caitlynn Moore, Marissa (Devin) Pierson, Lindsey Mitchell (Ethan), Ryan Mitchell, and Tyler Sweet; along with great-grandson, Isaiah Moore.

Friends may call at Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, on Thursday, October 27, 2022, from 5-7pm.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30am on Friday, October 28, at St. Columbkille Catholic Church in Wilmington. Burial will follow at Sugar Grove Cemetery, Wilmington.
