Vivian L. (Polk) Probasco

Vivian L. Probasco, age 95, of Wilmington, passed Sunday, September 25, 2022, at Cape May.

Her husband, Carl L. Probasco, preceded her in death on July 8, 2017.

She was born October 18, 1926, near Sabina, the daughter of Sampson and Esta Polk both of whom are deceased.

She was a 1944 graduate of Reesville High School where she was an honor student, cheerleader and violinist.  She owned and operated Vivian’s Beauty Salon in Wilmington for 20 years, was in the accounting department of Clinton Landmark and Farm Credit Services and was secretary at Faith Lutheran Church prior to her retirement.

She was an avid bowler, golfer, quilter, and gardener and had won many awards with these activities.

She as a member of the Wilmington Garden Club. She enjoyed playing Bridge and Euchre. She and her husband, Carl, had traveled extensively but her primary interest was her home and her family.

Survivors include a son, Ronald Kim (Jeri) Ewing, a grandson Brent Ewing and Patrice, granddaughter Melissa (Mike) Adams, granddaughter Robyn (Clint) Streetman, great grandsons Tate, Trace and Trip Adams, Connor Ewing and Wyatt and Cole Streetman, all of Alabama. Also left to cherish her memory are step granddaughters Britt Armstrong and Lexi Armstrong; stepson Thomas (Julie) Probasco, of Indianapolis, a stepdaughter Laura (Jim) Patterson pf Clifton, step grandchildren: Sarah (Josh) Groh, Chris and Lori Probasco, Samuel and Michelle Patterson, Grace, Caitlyn, and Allison Groh, a nephew J.D. Polk, and nieces Christa Polk, Becki Pavlik, Debbie Turvy and Diane Cain.

Additionally, her son, Robert Rick Ewing, and brothers, James H. Polk and Wayne E. Polk preceded her in death.

Services will be at the convenience of the family under the direction of Littleton Funeral Home with burial in the Sabina Cemetery.
