Vicki Sue Rice, age 69, of New Vienna, passed away on Saturday morning, June 4, 2016 at Bethesda North Hospital.
Born October 31, 1946 in Richmond, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Flossie Wilson Minter of Richmond and the late Victor Minter.
Her husband, Dellus Rice, whom she married on November 28, 1964 preceded her on September 19, 2015.
A graduate of Madison Central High School in Richmond, she loved raising her family and caring for her grandchildren. She enjoyed bingo and Ohio State Sports.
Vicki is survived by her children, Tammy (Kirk) Walker of Lees Creek, Grant Rice of New Vienna and Todd (Michelle Schoonover) Rice of Lynchburg.
Also left to cherish her memory are grandchildren:Sarah (Adam) Rice Shaw, Corey (Morgan Grooms) Rice, Becca (Miles Morrow) Walker, Kyle (Ardin) Rice, Brice Walker, Olivia Rice, and Katie Schoonover; great-grandchildren Conner, Grace, Ava, Emma, Cayden, Tynle and Kenzlee; along with her sister, Barbara (Michael) Harvey of Richmond and former daughter in-laws, Tina and Teresa Rice, special friend and sister in-law Joyce Baker, friends Barbara Varner, and Mary Blake.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 8, from 5-7pm at the New Vienna United Methodist Church. A funeral service will be at 11 am on Thursday, June 9, at the church.
Burial will follow in the Miami-Corwin Cemetery.
