Timothy Van Pelt

Timothy Kent Van Pelt, age 69, of Washington Court House, made his entrance into Heaven at 6:47am on Sunday, May 21, 2023.

Born in Washington Court House on March 26, 1954, he was the son of the late Robert Van Pelt and Harriet Ann Haines Van Pelt, who survives in Wilmington.

Tim leaves behind his devoted wife of nearly 48 years, Susan Marie Young.  The two were united in marriage on July 26, 1975.

Tim worked tirelessly at Clinton Electric for 43 years.  He was an avid nature lover and die-hard Buckeye fan. His interests include caring for his loving and devoted wife, his daughters, and serving the Lord through his church and community. Tim was a servant to many although they may never have known his name.  He was always the first to jump in to help and the last to leave.  There is no doubt he heard our Lord and savior exclaim “Well done good and faithful servant!” as the angels sang him into heaven.

In addition to his wife, Tim is survived by their daughters: Halona (Brian) McCracken of Washington Court House, Heather (Nick) Valentino of Springboro, and Krys (Tom) Kreps of Washington Court House.  Also left to cherish his memory are grandchildren: Alyvia Kreps, Mila Rose Valentino, Timothy McCracken, Kelton McCracken, and Tharon McCracken; brothers: Noel (Corrienna) and Gary Van Pelt, all of Wilmington; sister Mary (Mark) Hibbs of Greenfield; along with a host of nieces and nephews.

Tim was preceded in death by his father, his sister, Peggy Van Pelt, and a sister in-law, Rebecca Van Pelt.

Memorial contributions would be appreciated to Crossroads Christian Church or Fayette Christian School.

Family will receive friends at Crossroads Christian Church on Friday, May 26, 2023, from 3-6pm.  A funeral service will take place, at the church, on Saturday at 11am.  Burial to follow at Sabina Cemetery.  Littleton Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
