Ted Wright

Nathan T. ‘Ted’ Wright, age 75, of Sabina, passed unexpectedly on Saturday, September 16, 2023.

Born on September 5, 1948, he was the son of the late Delbert and Gladys Carpenter Wright.

Ted is survived by his devoted wife, Carrie Wright.

Ted loved the Lord, Jesus Christ and loved to teach and preach His Word. This was his first love. He adored his wife, family, and friends. His laugh was contagious, and he was always cutting up and cracking jokes. He loved to sing. Whether at home, at the store, or in the car, he was constantly singing hymns and praises to God. One of his favorite places to visit was the cabins down in Hocking Hills. He enjoyed sitting out on the dock by the water and sitting around the campfire with family.

He was a Human Resource Manager for Palm Harbor and had worked at TWIST in Jamestown.  Ted was a former pastor, serving at both Sabina Baptist and Immanual Baptist Church.  He was an active member of the Calvary Baptist Church of Wilmington.

In addition to his wife, Ted is survived by children: Tami (Slade) Centers of Fairfield, Scott (Christina) Wright of Terre Haute, IN, Nathan Wright of Newark, and Kevin Wright of Wilmington.

Also left to cherish his memory are grandchildren: Larissa, Tanner, Jasmine, Zene, and Wally; great grandchild, Landon; and siblings: Paul (Sharon) Wright, Steve (Juanita) Wright, Debbi (John) Levier, Dan (Debbie) Wright and sister in-law Sandy Wright; along with a host of nieces and nephews. Ted was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Wright.

Memorial contributions would be appreciated to Samaritan's Purse International Relief.

Family will receive friends at Calvary Baptist on Saturday, September 30, 2023 from 3-4pm, when a Celebration of Life Service will take place.  Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, has been entrusted with arrangements.
