Susan (Wical) Wedding

Susan Wedding, age 68, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 16, 2021.

Born in Washington Court House on February 27, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Suzanne Dufau Wical and Leonard Wical.

Susan is survived by her husband, Barry Wedding.

A 1971 graduate of Wilmington High School, Susan also attended Sinclair Community College and the University of Charleston.  She had served at Damon’s for several years, where she was always delighted to meet and talk to her customers.

Susan never had children of her own but she stepped in at a time when a single father and 2 young girls needed her.  She fulfilled the Lord’s purpose for her by being a wonderful mother to her girls and loving her family well.  She was also a giver and an avid card sender.  She sent cards for every occasion.  Susan was a dog-lover and proud dog mom to Bubby and Bailey, whom she is happy to be reunited with.  She was proud of everyone in her family and was always the biggest cheerleader.  Her goodness and selfless love continue as her legacy.

In addition to her husband, also left to cherish her memory are her children: Ashley (Bryan) Rhoads and Gabrielle (Derek Rice) Wedding of Wilmington; grandchildren: Brayden, Jena and Isabelle Rhoads, Jack DeHart, Gus and Sophia Rice.  Susan is also survived by her beloved siblings: Sandy (Thomas) Neville of Louisville, CO, Steven (Carmen) Wical of Huntsville, AL and Scott Wical of Knoxville, TN; and by several nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Clinton County Humane Society in Susan's honor.

Friends may gather on Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m.  A private graveside service, at Sabina Cemetery, will be held at the convenience of the family.
