Steven Craig Watkins Jr.

Steven Craig Watkins Jr., 37 of Monroe, NC, passed away on July 10, 2019.

He was born on March 1, 1982, the son of Steve and Kay VanPelt Watkins, of Indian Trial, NC.

An Air Force Veteran, Craig always loved to go fishing at Alum Creek, OH, Wolfe River and Livingston/Rickman, TN. He was an excellent son who took care of his kids, his own or otherwise. Craig accepted Christ as a young boy, he was baptized later and recommitted his life to Jesus Christ. He was a wonderful, loving son, husband and father.

In addition to his parents, Craig is survived by his wife, Natasha Lynn Watkins.  Also left to cherish his memory is one son, Jason Gage Watkins of Monroe, NC; step-son, Zachary Hall of Westerville, OH; a brother, Andrew (Danielle) Watkins and nephews, Liam and Finn, all of Columbus, OH; along with in-laws, Paul and Tonya Morris of Westerville.

We will all rejoice and reunite in heaven when we hear the trumpet sound and we get called home, we’ll be able to see him again and he’ll be waiting at the gates to welcome us with Uncle Chad, Grandma Virginia, Grandma Jo and everyone else who went before us.

A graveside service, with Military Honors, at Sabina Cemetery, will be held on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at 12:30pm.
