Shirley Ann (Beverly) Suttman

April 21, 1938 — January 27, 2021

Shirley Ann (Beverly) Suttman of Saginaw, Michigan, formerly of Beavercreek, Ohio

Our loving mother, grandmother and sister passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at Bickford of Saginaw Township. She was 82 years old. Shirley Ann Beverly was born on April 21, 1938 in Sabina, Ohio to the late Harry and Edith (Newlan) Beverly. She was one of eight children who grew up on the family farm. Shirley moved to Beavercreek, Ohio and enjoyed working as a secretary at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base for thirty years, proudly retiring in 1999.

Early in Shirley's retirement, she courageously battled cancer. The family will always feel grateful for being able to enjoy nearly 25 bonus years with her. She enjoyed gardening, swimming, and traveling to Florida. Most importantly, she loved to spend time with her daughters and grandchildren and to keep in touch with her siblings. Shirley moved to Saginaw in 2015 to be closer to family. She loved to go out and do as much as she could, despite the effects of Parkinson's disease.

Her hopeful attitude, optimism, encouragement, and easy-going, loving spirit will be greatly missed by those who survive her including her daughters: Kelly (David) Baskind of Saginaw and Julie Jaindl of Seminole, Florida; three granddaughters: Olivia Baskind, Kiley and Logan Jaindl; sisters: Patricia Conlon and Karen Johnson; sisters-in-law: Esther Beverly and Jeannette Beverly; also surviving are many nieces and nephews.

Her family will continue to cherish the memory of her wonderful smile. We will remember her ability to see the beauty in everyday life and enjoy the simple pleasures like sitting in the sun and eating ice cream.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings: Helen Beverly, Richard Beverly, Randall Beverly, Chester Beverly and Heber Beverly.

Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a donation to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research or the American Cancer Society.

A graveside service, under the direction of Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, will take place at White Oak Grove Cemetery, Buena Vista, on Friday, July 16y, 2021, at 3:30pm.
