Shirley D. (Echart) Culp

Shirley Dianna (Eckhart) Culp, age 75, formerly of Wilmington, passed on September 10, 2023, at Doctors West Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.

Shirley was born December 14, 1947, in Cleveland, Ohio. She was the daughter of Sampson and Garnett (Morris) Eckhart.

She was a devoted mother of Bridget Sue Smith and Lee Michael (Kim) Culp. She was a dear grandmother to Deanna Kirkland, Scott Green, Danny (Portia) Daniels, Kevin Daniels, and Keith (Jenny) Daniels. And great grandmother to Gage, Raven, Michael, Katelyn, Zachary, Leeland, Leilani, Jayce, Brayden, Josiah, Elijah, Lucas, Jasmine, Mikey, and Weston. Shirley was a loving sister to Nancy (Charlie) Rhinehart, Rose Eckhart and Tammy Barthol.

She was preceded in death by her devoted husband Lee Marion Culp, great grandson Beydn Swink, and dear friend Sue Fisher.

She graduated from West Jefferson High School and later received an associate degree from Sothern State Community College. Shirley retired from Airborne/ DHL.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, September 14, 2023, from 4:00 -5:30 pm, when a service will begin, with meal to follow, at Mt. Sterling Church of the Nazarene 226 N. Market Street. Rev. Phil Starr officiating. A graveside service will be held Friday September 15, 2023, at 11:00 am at Sabina Cemetery. Littleton Funeral Home Sabina has been entrusted with arrangements.
