Scott D. Long, age 59, of New Vienna, passed away on Friday, October 22, 2021, at Clinton Memorial Hospital, with his wife by his side.
Born on March 6, 1962, he was the son of the late Robert Simon and Irma Carol Penwell Long.
Scott leaves behind his loving and devoted wife, Joni Kubler Long. The two were united in marriage on September 18, 2010.
A 1980 East Clinton High School graduate, Scott worked as a machinist and CNC operator. He worked at Addison McKee, Ferno Washington, Bundy Tubing, and several other places. He was an avid HotWheels collector. Scott enjoyed woodworking, making and collecting knives, fishing and gardening. He loved his dogs tremendously.
In addition to his wife, Scott leaves behind two daughters: Beth Skaggs (Chris) of Martinsville and Emily Blum (Grant Edward) of Circleville. Also left to cherish his memory are several grandchildren: Ruby & Dexter Ison, Harper Annette Dalton, Ivy Willow Blum & Abby Hays; step-grandchildren: Izabela and Malakai Skaggs; sisters: Kimberly Hatten of Sabina and Bobbi Long of Wilmington; nephew, Michael Hatten of Sabina; along with his beloved dogs: Patches and Mr. Tibbs.
Scott was preceded in death by his parents, a grandchild, Donald Ison IV, and his cherished dog, Bucky.
Memorial donations would be appreciated to the Clinton Country Humane Society, Dayton Children's Hospital or the American Diabetes Association.
Friends may call at Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, on Wednesday, October 27, 2021, from 2-4pm, when a funeral service will begin.
