Ruth Anna Leslie, age 92, of Bowersville, passed peacefully on Monday, November 27, 2017, at St. Catherine’s in Washington Court House.
Born in Jamestown on October 10, 1925, she was the daughter of Raymond and Bessie ‘Devoe’ Earley.
Ruth Anna is preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Leslie.
A Jefferson High School graduate, Ruth Anna was a devoted homemaker and later retired from The Randall Corp. in Wilmington. In her younger years, she loved to travel and go boating at Lake Cowan. Ruth Anna enjoyed cooking, baking and gardening.
She is survived by her children, Raymond (Marlene McCloy) Leslie of Washington Court House and Mary (Jim) King of Lodi. Also left to cherish her memory is daughter in-law Theresa Jones; 10 grandchildren: Michael Haskell, Joshua Leslie, Monica (Joe) Leslie, Nick (Laura) Weaver, Joe Weaver, Michelle Cochran, Jamie Weaver, Sean Leslie, Allison Leslie, and Tracy (Chris) Lawson; along with 16 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Ruth Anna is preceded in death by a son, Mark Leslie, and siblings: Opal Luttrell, Nellie Thompson, Donald Earley, and Earnest Earley.
Friends are welcome to call at the Bowersville Church of Christ, on Thursday, November 30, 2017, from 4-6 pm, where a funeral service will be held at 11am on Friday. Burial to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Bowersville.
