Ronald L. Torbett, age 66, of Sabina, passed peacefully at the OSU Wexner Medical Center on Wednesday, February 24, 2021.
Born in Columbus on November 3, 1954, he was the son of Loren and Eula Cox Torbett.
In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Bradley Ison Torbett.
A United States Army Veteran, Ron worked factory maintenance for many years at MAC Tool and Candle-Lite. Later, he retired, as a truck driver, from Melvin Stone. Ron was a member of the Sabina Church of Christ. He had a passion for woodworking and restoring old furniture, and he loved watching old westerns.
Ron is survived by his children: Holly (Ron Sova) Torbett and Jeremy (Lexus) Torbett, all of Washington Court House, Christopher Torbett of Jupiter, FL; and step-son, Don (Kim) Ison of Sabina. Also left to cherish his memory are grandchildren: Gage, Gavin and Madison Martin, Brooklyn Sova, Braedyn, Bryleigh, and Mia Torbett, and Donnie and Matt Ison; great-grandchildren, Dexter and Ruby; sister, Nancy (Craig Davis) Torbett of Greenfield; brother, William ‘Bill’ Torbett of Washington Court House; brother in-law and good friend, Leroy Howell of Sabina; along with several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends at Littleton Funeral Home on Monday, March 1, 2021, from 10 am – 12 Noon, when a funeral service will begin. Burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Jeffersonville.
