Ronald D. Piatt

Ronald D. Piatt, age 76, of Leesburg, and formerly of Xenia, passed away at his home on Thursday, December 21, 2023.

Born in Dayton on August 25, 1947, he was the son of the late, James D. and Elnora Jolly Piatt.

He is survived by his wife, Karen Curtis Piatt.

A graduate of Xenia High School, Ron served in the Army and had retired from ABX after 17 years. A HAM Operator “ KB8GUE”, he also loved to fish, travel and was an active bird watcher.

In addition to his wife, he is also survived by children: Angie (Marc) Miller of Leesburg, Lora (Bob) Geisler of Wilmington and Patsy (Rob Conrad) Piatt of Wilmington; step son, Derek Jimison of Greenfield;  grandchildren: Chase Geisler, Ian Piatt and Hallie Jimison.  Ron is also survived by his beloved dog, “Laci”, and siblings: Larry (Lynn) Piatt and Dan (Jan) Piatt.

Ronald was preceded in death by his first wife and the mother of his children, Sue Lynne (Hayslip) Piatt.

Memorial contributions may be made to any Humane Society.

Visitation will be on Wednesday December 27, 2023, at Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, from Noon until 1:00 P.M, when a funeral service will begin. Burial will follow at New Maple Grove Cemetery, Port William.
