Roger L. Bigelow

Roger Bigelow, age 86, of Sabina, passed away at his residence, surrounded by his children, on Thursday, August 11, 2022.

Born November 5, 1935, in Canton, the son of Harry and Thelma Voltzer Bigelow.

Roger was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia “Pat” Bush Bigelow.

He attended Barber School after High School and retired from the Ohio Air National Guard, as a Senior Master Sargent.  In his retirement, Roger owned and operated a barber shop in Sabina.  He was a member of the Sabina Masonic Lodge #324, the Scottish Rite, Shriners, VFW, and the Wilmington Elks.

Roger is survived by children: Dianna (Bobby) Grimsley, Mike (Sherry) Bigelow, Jeff (Jenni) Bigelow, and James (April) Bigelow; grandchildren: Brandon (Katy) Grimsley, Tricia (Kelly) Romohr, Danielle Bentley, Jamie (Josh Henry) Bentley, Jacob (Haley) Bigelow, Joshua Bigelow, Zachary Bigelow, Kameron Bigelow, and Alexander Bigelow; several great-grandchildren; and niece, Brenda Zimmerman.

In addition to his wife, Roger was preceded in death by a grandson, Christian Bigelow.

Memorial contributions would be appreciated to Community Care Hospice (1669 Rombach Avenue, Wilmington, 45177).

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.  Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, has been entrusted with arrangements.
