Robert Mark Morton

Robert Mark Morton, age 69, passed peacefully at Autumn Years in Sabina on Tuesday, December 8, 2020.

Born in Clinton County on December 19, 1950, he was the son of the late John Jacob and Mary Elizabeth Watson Morton.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Eddie, Frank and Billy.

Mark attended Simon Kenton School.

In his earlier years, he went on many family vacations to Florida, the Grand Canyon, Cypress Gardens, Niagara Falls, and the Smokey Mountains.   Mark spent his adult years helping his brothers with the work on the family farm.  While living at home in Lees Creek, he could often be seen sitting on his porch in the afternoon, mowing the lawn or driving his Gator.  He took great pride in mowing for his longtime neighbor, Vernon Freeland.

Mark was thankful for the kindness of his neighbors, The Freeland Family, the Woods Family and the Williams Family.

Mark greatly appreciated the care he was given during his time as a resident at Autumn Years Nursing and Rehab in Sabina, and later the care and attentiveness received from Heartland Hospice.

A private graveside service will be held at Centerville Cemetery, Lees Creek, where Mark was laid to rest with his family.  Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, was entrusted with the arrangements.
