Robert L. Rhoads

Robert Lee Rhoads, 71, of Wilmington, went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 29, 2022, surrounded by his loved ones.

Robert was born May 30, 1951, to Herschel Ray and Margaret Ada Rhoads of Martinsville, who preceded him in death.  He was a member of the Faith Family Church.

Robert was a strong Christian man, who bravely fought many health issues over the years.  He leaves behind his loving wife, Venita (McIntosh), of 49 years.  In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, DeeAnn Brady of London, Ohio, and his son, Bryan, his wife, Ashley, and their children, Brayden, Jena and Izzy, all of Wilmington.  His greatest love was his family.  He loved watching his grandchildren grow and play sports and taking family trips and cruises.  He was so proud of his family and all their accomplishments.

Robert had 13 brothers and sisters.  He is survived by sisters, Sarah (Richard) Speaight of Missouri, Peggy (Eldon) Speaight of Wilmington, Sharon (Rick) Adams of Clarksville, Brenda (Michael) Mobley and Debbie Napier of Blanchester.  He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brothers Ray Albert, Richard Dean, Eugene and William Harold Rhoads; sisters Martha Gall, Lucille Rhodes, Shirley Quigley and Sandy Hayslip-Homer.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions would be appreciated to the Faith Family Church - Reach Campaign (64 Williams Road, Wilmington 45177 - please note Reach in the memo).

Visitation will be on Thursday, August 4, 2022, from 12 – 2pm, at the Faith Family Church, with the funeral service immediately following.  Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Bowersville.  Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, has been entrusted with arrangements.
