Ray B. Cartwright, Jr.

Ray B. Cartwright, Jr., of Sabina, passed away on Monday, January 28, 2019, at Miami Valley Hospital, he was 67 years old.

Born in Fayette County on June 18, 1951, he was the only son of the late Ray Sr. and Hazel Adams Cartwright.

Ray worked in the grocery business for 34 years.  In Sabina, he worked at Zimmerman's Grocery and the IGA; in Wilmington, he worked at Bob and Carl's.  Later, after 17 years, he retired from Airborne.  Ray enjoyed fishing and loved to ride around in the car.  He was a great guitar player.

Ray was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Lawson Cartwright, who passed on December 6, 2008.

He leaves behind a son, William R. Cartwright, Sr. and his wife, Rebecca, of Xenia.  Also left to cherish Ray's memory are grandchildren: William, Jr. and Raven Cartwright and Tayler and Cayden Rolfe; along with sisters: Donna Wiget and Robin Crites

In addition to his parents and his wife, Ray is also preceded in death by a sister, Rhonda Jarrell.

A graveside service will be held at Sabina Cemetery at a later date.  Littleton Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
