Phillip D. "Skip" Rider

Phillip D. “Skip” Rider, Sr, age 83, passed at home in New Vienna on Wednesday, April 14, 2021.

Born in Fairmont, WV, on April 29, 1937, he was the son of the late Merle and Maxine Costello Rider.

Skip was preceded in death by his wife, Emma Morgan Rider, who passed in 1993.

A veteran of the United States Air Force, Skip retired after 20 years of service, in Tech Support.  Later, he retired from MAC Tool, where he worked in maintenance.  Skip attended the Sabina Church of Christ.  He was a former member of the VFW and Moose Lodge.  Skip loved to fish and hunt and found great joy in spending time with this beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is survived by children: Donna (Bob) Henry of New Vienna, Diana (Steve) Preston of Sabina, Anita (Craig) Bradds of Marysville, and Phillip (Bonnie) Rider of Sabina.  Also left to cherish his memory are twelve grandchildren; twenty one great-grandchildren; and sister, Delores Knittel of Vero Beach, FL.

In addition to his parents and wife, Skip was preceded in death by his sister, Donna.

Memorial contributions would be appreciated to Community Care Hospice.

Family will receive friends at the Sabina Church of Christ on Saturday, April 17, 2021, from 10 am – 12 Noon, when a funeral service will begin.  Burial to follow at Sabina Cemetery.  Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, has been entrusted with arrangements.
