Peggy Blanche Shepherd Lydick Byrd, 82, of Vero Beach, went to the Lord on July 14, 2016 at Sycamore Hospital in Miamisburg, OH.
She was born April 26, 1934 in Clarksville, OH, to James Howard ‘Bud’ and Hazel Pearl Tolle Shepherd.
Peggy is survived by three children: Richard (Mary) Lydick of Marietta, GA, Robyn (Dave) Spurgeon of Sabina, OH, Kenneth (Jeanne) Lydick of Elizbethton, TN. Also surviving are: sisters, Patty Lydick of Tionesta, PA and Polly Houck of Sebastian, FL; daughter in-law, Rita Lydick; sisters in-law, Debbie (Mike) Jones, Peggy Davis, and Darlinda Shepherd; 14 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandson; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Also left to cherish her memory are special friends Sandie Baker and family and Bonnie Kidder and family, all of Roseland, FL.
In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by sons, Steven Phillip and David Leroy Lydick; four brothers, Buddy, Frank, Thomas, and Michael Shepherd; and brothers in-law Donald Lydick and Denver Houck. .
Memorial contributions are requested to any PNC Bank in Peggy’s name to help cover funeral expenses.
Graveside services, in Sebastian, FL alongside her husband and son, will be held at a later date.
