Norma J. Morales, age 88, of Washington Court House, passed peacefully in the comforts of her son’s home on Wednesday, February 28, 2024.
Born in West Portsmouth on November 20, 1935, she was the daughter of the late William W. Owens and Zella M. Tolliver Owens Ennis.
Norma worked and retired from International Paper in Wilmington. In her younger years, she was a real estate agent for Marjorie Sullivan Realty in New Vienna. Norma loved sewing and quilting, but found the most enjoyment in spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren – she was very involved in their lives.
She is survived by her beloved son, Mark Morales of Middletown. Also left to cherish her memory are grandchildren: Jeremy (Bry) Morales, Portia (Johnny) Vincent, and Kasi Morales; great grandchildren: Alexia, Aliyah, Merlin, Colton, Clayton, Caroline, Matthew, and Mason; and sister in-law, Edith Owens; along with a host of nieces and nephews, including nephew, William "Hoss" Owens of Springfield, TN, and niece Janet Marie Phillips of Ft. Walton Beach, FL.
Norma was preceded in death by her children: Nada Jean Wheeling, Marty Wheeling, and Tracy Morales; and her brother, William ‘Rocky’ Owens.
A graveside service will be held at Sugar Grove Cemetery, Wilmington, on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at 11am. Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, has been entrusted with arrangements.
