Nancy H. Shiveley, age 96, of Wilmington, passed away at Cape May on Monday evening, December 13, 2021.
She was born near Lees Creek on November 1, 1925, the daughter of George and Clara Ellen Knox Hicks Sr.
After high school, she worked at the R.J. Johnson Company, which later became the WKW Company, where she retired as the bookkeeper and payroll manager. Nancy had attended Chester Friends and Port William United Methodist Church. She never met a stranger and was loved by many. She loved reading about history, the Bible, and the Amish, especially Beverly Lewis books.
She is survived by her daughter, Tamara (Jeff Jones) Trapnell of Wilmington. Also left to cherish her memory is her sister, Peggy Hottinger; nieces and nephews, including, Robert Hicks of Blanchester, Kimberly (Jeff) Derr of Groveport, Shayla (Gregg) Powell of Ann Arbor, MI, and Kyle (Jennifer) Hottinger of Landen, MI.
She was preceded in death by siblings: Lorene, John, Pauline, George Jr., and Betty Ellen; along with a nephew, Blake.

A graveside service will be held at Sugar Grove Cemetery on Monday, December 20, 2021, at 11 am. Masks and social distancing will be observed. Arrangements have been entrusted to Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina.
