Maynard E. 'Terry' Moore, of Sabina, passed away on Monday, July 4, 2016.
Born on November 28, 1927 to the late Raymond E. and Verda Douglas Moore, Terry spent the largest part of his life in Sabina, the town that he loved.
He was a graduate of Sabina High School, served in the Armed Forces, and graduated from the Reppert School of Auctioneering in Decatur, Indiana. Terry worked at Littleton Funeral Home for over 50 years. He also worked as an agent and an auctioneer for Exley Wical Real Estate. He started in a long sales career at the age of 12, working weekends and after school for the Stackhouse brothers and Darrell Woodruff. Later, Terry was a sales rep for Dabes Chrysler-Plymouth, then spent 28 1/2 years with Moorman Mfg. Co., retiring as a State Sales Manager in 1986. He then became a Sales Rep for Dodds Monument.
Terry was a member of the Sabina Church of Christ, member and past president of the Sabina Lions Club, and a member of Sabina Masonic Lodge #324.
Terry is preceded in death by his wife, Martha Virginia (Laurent) Moore, whom he married on July 23, 1950, and also by his son, Gale Moore.
Surviving are two sisters, Elizabeth (Harry, dec.) Walker and Mildred (Robert, dec.) Riley; along with daughter, Patricia E. (Steve) Wilson, grandchildren, Jason (Lisa) Wilson and Michelle (Nick) Hinkle and five great-grandchildren: Colston, Sara, Sadie, Gabriel, and Gibson.
Friends may call at Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, on Wednesday, July 6, from 6-8pm, when a Masonic Service will be held. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30am on Thursday, burial to follow in Sabina Cemetery.
