Maxine (Ebberts) Haines

Maxine Haines, age 79, of Wilmington, passed peacefully at Cape May on Tuesday, January 18, 2022.

Born in Piqua, Ohio, on September 7, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Frankie C. and Alice Augusta (Murray) Ebberts.

Maxine was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Haines, on November 15, 2012.

She was a retired Registered Nurse, having worked at Clinton Memorial Hospital, the Clinton County Health Department, and Camp Joy.  Maxine was a member of the Wilmington Young Mothers Club, Wilson Homemakers, and the Farm Bureau Council.  She enjoyed helping people, gardening, cooking and baking.  Maxine was a member of the Wilmington United Methodist Church and attended Fairview Friends with her late husband.

Maxine is survived by two daughters: Melissa Breuer and her husband, Tim, of Cincinnati and Cathy Guljas of Springfield.  Also left to cherish her memory are seven grandchildren and a great-granddaughter; along with her sister, Marilyn Warner.

In addition to her husband, Maxine was preceded in death by her son, David Moore, in 2010.

Memorial contributions would be appreciated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

Family will receive friends at Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, on Friday, January 21, 2022, from 4-5pm, when a funeral service will begin.
