Maxine Fenner, age 96, of Wilmington, passed peacefully at Hospice of Dayton on Sunday, July 2, 2023.
Born on January 31, 1927, she was the daughter of Henry Everett and Martha Magnolia ‘Marshall’ Brown.
Maxine was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Fenner, in 2018. The two were united in marriage on July 28, 1951.
Maxine was a 1947 graduate of Wilmington High School. She worked as an inspector for the Irwin Company, from where she retired. At 96, Maxine remained very independent and was still living in and maintaining her own home.
Left to cherish her memory are nieces and nephews: Donna (Ed) Stephenson, Jeanette Soale, James (Jacqueline) Rhoades and Gary Fenner; along with a host of great-nieces and nephews; and special friend, Sherri Woodworth.
In addition to her husband, Maxine was preceded by her son, Mark Glenn Fenner; and siblings: infant Mary Magdalene, Madeline Campbell, Lillie Rhoades, Everett Merl Brown and Raymond Brown.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at 2pm at New Antioch Cemetery, Wilmington. Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, has been entrusted with arrangements.
