Max E. Allen

Max E. Allen, age 86, of Sabina, passed away at his home on Wednesday May 18, 2022.

Born in Greene County on May 29, 1935, he was the son of Arthur and Clarice Burton Allen.

Max is survived by his wife of 67 years, Kay Talbott Allen.  The two were united in marriage on February 12, 1955.

He was a graduate of Silvercreek High School and a lifelong farmer.  Max also worked at NCR and was a driver for Airborne for several years.  He was also a former president of the Clinton County Pork Producers and a 4-H advisor.

Max was a member of the Sabina Church of Christ where he was an Elder, Sunday School teacher, and sang in the church choir as well as the Men’s Choir.

In addition to his wife, Max is survived by his children: Terry (C.W.) Cornett of Morehead, KY, Barry (Mary Ann) Allen and Robert Allen all of Sabina. Also left to cherish his memory are grandchildren: Christopher Allen, Brandi Velasco, Samantha Sawmiller, and Cova Allen Cornett; numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; siblings, Arthur (June) Allen Jr, of Greene Co and Russell (Joan) Allen of Wilmington; sister in-law Cheryl Allen; along with a host of nieces and nephews.

Max was preceded in death by grandson Danny Allen, and a brother, Leroy Allen.

Memorial contributions would be appreciated to the Sabina Church of Christ Parking Lot Fund.

Visitation will be held at the Sabina Church of Christ on Monday, May 23, 2022, from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service at 1:00 P.M. Burial will follow at Sabina Cemetery. Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, has been entrusted with arrangements.
