Mary Jane Shoemaker

Mary J. Shoemaker, age 63 of Hillsboro, passed away on Monday afternoon, October 17, 2022, at Bethesda North Hospital.

Born October 7, 1959, in Washington Court House, she was the daughter of Lester and Shirley Williamson Shoemaker.

Mary had retired, after many years, from helping families care for their loved ones in their homes. She loved to fish, especially with her niece Sarah. She enjoyed car rides, bingo and thrifting. Mary was an avid Kansas City Chief's fan.

She was preceded by her husband, Gary Briggs.

Mary is survived by her children: Gary Briggs, Ashley (Norberto Fernandez) Briggs, Adam (Jeanine Paton) Briggs, Chasidy (Richard Livingston) Briggs and the mother of her grandchildren, Andrea Williams. Also left to cherish her memory are grandchildren: Gaige, Chelsea, Gabriel, Thalia, Arieanna, Adrian and Capri; sister, Teresa Shoemaker; many nieces and nephews including: special nieces, Sarah Briggs and Amanda Manning; also, her very special dog, Gizmo; and special friend, Andy Ferguson.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Mary was preceded in death by her sister, Deborah Burris.

Visitation will be at Littleton Funeral Home on Thursday October, 20, 2022, from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at Noon. Burial will follow at Milledgeville Plymouth Cemetery.
