Marvin W. Waddle, 90, of Washington C.H., passed Thursday, July 7.
Born in Concord Township, Fayette County, on August 22, 1925, he was the son of William and Mary Morris Waddle.
Marvin graduated from Sabina High School. He was the past president of the Fayette County Pork Producers Association, past president of the Miami Trace School Athletic Boosters and was the president of the School Employees Retirement Association. He drove a school bus for 34 years and was inducted into the Miami Trace School Boosters Hall of Fame. Marvin was also a member of the Clarksburg Grange and was a devoted worker, member and chairman of the Trustees for the First Baptist Church in Washington C.H. He enjoyed camping, boating, and attending Miami Trace football and basketball games.
Marvin is survived by his wife, Virginia Peck Dinkler Waddle, whom he married on June 6, 1987. He also leaves behind his son, Ted (Susan) Waddle of Washington C.H.; grandchildren, Stacia Waddle, Lyndsay (Greg) Leisure and Natalie (Marc) Roath; great grandchildren, Addyson and Avery Leisure and Hannah Roath; step-daughter Madelyn Brewer and step-granddaughter Tracy Brewer, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his brothers James and Marion Waddle.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, from 2-4pm at First Baptist Church in Washington C.H., where a funeral will be held on Sunday at 2pm.
