Marty F. (Fox) Carr

Marty F. Carr, age 90, of Wilmington, passed peacefully on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at her home.

Born in Blanchester on December 20, 1927, she was the daughter of Roy and Olive Rush Fox. On July 31, 1948, Marty married Johnnie Carr. The two were married 56 years before he preceded her in death in 2005.

A graduate of Blanchester High School, Marty became a Registered Nurse after attending Jewish Hospital School of Nursing. She retired as an ER Nurse , after more than 27 years, from Clinton Memorial Hospital. Marty was a member of Wilmington Friends Meeting.

She is survived by her children: Chriss (Paula) Carr, of Phoenix, AZ, Michele (Alan Haines) Carr and Tim Carr, all of Wilmington. Also left to cherish Marty’s memory are grandchildren: Andy (Kerry) Brown, Aidan (Hilliary) Carr-Henderson, Kaitlin (Nick) Hall, and Tyler (Laurie) Carr, Teague and Nicolin Haines;  Great grandchildren, Wyatt and Blake Brown, Brighton Rodman, Blair Carr-Henderson, Connor and Bristol Hall, Laney and Tucker Carr; along with friend and caregiver, Teresa Hale.

In addition to her husband, Marty is preceded in death by her sister, Mary Brown.

Family will receive friends, at Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, on Saturday, January 27, 2018, from 11am – 2pm, when a funeral service will begin. Burial will take place in Miami- Corwin Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
