Martha Jean ‘Marty’ Sheeley, age 82, passed peacefully on Thursday, September 15, 2016.
Marty was born in Carmel, Ohio on September 22, 1933, the daughter of Roy and Frankie Lyons Gibson.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Forrest M. Sheely, whom she married on September 22, 1976.
Marty was a devoted home maker who loved watching her soap operas and was very active in Sabina Senior Citizens; she enjoyed spending her time with the group and the various activities.
Surviving are her children, Frances Hoppes of Washington Court House, Ohio, and Herman (Theresa) Duffield of Vevay, Indiana. Also left to cherish her memory are eight grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, and her sister, Lora Hughes of Houston, Ohio.
In addition to her parents and husband, Marty is also preceded in death by her siblings, Calvin Gibson and Betty Davis.
Family will receive friends at Littleton Funeral Home on Sunday, September 18, 2016 from 2-4pm. Funeral services will be Monday at 1pm, at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Milledgeville-Plymouth Cemetery.
