Marion J. "Woody" Woods

Marion J. “Woody” Woods, 95, of Hillsboro, passed away on Friday morning, October 1, 2021, at home.

Born May 11, 1926. in West Carrollton, the son of Jacob and Mary Rose Stratton Woods.

He is survived by his first wife, Frances Woods, and was preceded by his second wife, Henrietta “Hank” Schuchordt Woods.

Mr. Woods had served in the Navy during World War 2 and Korea. He went on to retire from Mack Trucks in Hagerstown, MD. Mr. Woods was a graduate of Centerville High School, in 2002, quite possibly their oldest graduating senior, giving true meaning to the term “Graduating Senior”. He was a member of the Hillsboro VFW and Bainbridge American Legion.

He is also survived by his daughter: Rose Wible of Hillsboro.  Also left to cherish his memory are grandchildren: Joshua, Chad, Sara and Jessica and one great grandchild; along with siblings: Charlotte Smith, Barbara Brown and several nieces and nephews.

Woody is also preceded by a daughter, Sandy Stonerock, and by a brother, Kenneth Woods.

Visitation will be on Friday October 8, 2021 at the Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina from Noon until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Sabina Cemetery.
