Loretta F. ‘Wilson’ Long, age 83, of Sabina, passed peacefully on Thursday, June 16, 2016.
Born on September 10, 1932 in Bookwalter, OH, she was the daughter of the late Orville and Glenna Whitridge Wilson.
Loretta was a prolific quilter, having completed over 300 quilts, enjoyed arrowhead hunting, fishing and working puzzles. She was a wonderful mother and loved her family.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Lawson Long, whom she married on October 31, 1951.
Loretta is survived by her daughters, Marlene (Darrell) White and Tina Howland, both of Sabina; along with 5 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren. Also left to cherish her memory are her siblings: Mildred Beekman, Elaine (Jack) Martindale and Robert (Sue) Wilson, and daughter in-law, Kimberly Long.
In addition to her husband, she is preceded by her son, Lawson “Slug” Long, brothers, Orville, William, Rodger, and Carl Wilson, and sister, Gladys Hidy.
Memorial suggestions are requested to a charity of one’s choice.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 22, at Littleton Funeral Home from 10-12, when a funeral service will take place. Burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Jeffersonville.
