Leroy M Larrick

Leroy M. Larrick, age 84, of Highland, passed away, unexpectedly yet peacefully, Sunday, December 9, 2018, at Highland District Hospital.

Born in Lees Creek on February 26, 1934, he was the son of Leroy and Bertha Moore Larrick.

Leroy was a 1952 Wayne Township graduate.  He was lifelong farmer and a director at Southern Hills Community Bank.  He enjoyed farming, raising champion hogs, talking hogs, the outdoors, hunting, and sitting in the stands watching his grandchildren play sports.

He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, JoEllen Woods Larrick. The two were united in marriage on July 30, 1953.

Together they had four children who will cherish the many memories made with their dad: Marsha (Dean) Hatfield, Mark (Peggy) Larrick, Marta (Gary, dec.) Cox, and Marvin (Christy) Larrick.  In addition, his grandchildren, who will miss his stories, include; Holly (Matt) Shoemaker, Matthew Larrick, Hannah (Ren) Allard, Lauren, Grace and Owen Larrick, Adam (Katherine) Cokonougher; his great-grandchildren, Beckett and Paxton Allard, Memphis and Anzli Beatty; along with several special nieces and nephews.

Leroy was preceded in death by both of his parents, a granddaughter, Sarah Jo Larrick, and sisters, Dorothy, Vivian and Joanna.

The Larrick Family will receive friends at Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, on Friday, December 14, 2018, from 4-8pm.  Funeral services and burial, will be at Highland Cemetery, at the convenience of the family.
