Laurabel Ruth Pugsley Engler, age 90, passed December 14, 2016 in San Diego, California.
Born on July 16, 1926, in Bowersville, Ohio, she was the daughter of Sibyl Carter and Persinger Pugsley.
Laurabel graduated from Martinsville High School in 1944, and attened Wilmington College. She married her late husband, Allen Ralph Engler, on November 23, 1946. Laurabel was a devoted homemaker. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Daughters of the American Colonists, Daughters of the Colonial Dames Seventeenth Century, and Magna Charta Dames Jamestown Society.
Laurabel is survived by her son, Jeffrey Allen Engler and his wife, Maxine; daughter in-law, Laura Engler; grandchildren, Adam, Michelle and Andrew; and great-granddaughter, Cate.
In addition to her husband, Laurabel is preceded in death by her son, Matthew Carter Engler.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at 10am at Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina. Burial will follow at Sabina Cemetery.
