Larry Lee Goodman

Larry Lee Goodman, age 84, of Sabina, passed peacefully on March 2, 2025.

Born on February 6, 1941, he was the son of the late Shural and Ethel Goodman.

Larry is survived by his beloved wife, of nearly 64 years, Emma Hoffer Goodman.

A 1959 Simon-Kenton High School graduate, Larry continued his education at Morehead State University.  Larry had retired from MacTool after 33 years of service and from Airborne Express, after 24 years.

For many years, Larry was an OHSAA Licensed Referee.  He was a former Commissioner of the Sabina Rec League, a former Village of Sabina Council Member and Board Member of the Sabina Pool.  He was also Past Grand Marshal of the Sabina Labor Day Parade.  In his retirement, Larry volunteered many hours as the groundskeeper at the Richland Township Park, for the East Clinton Youth League.

In addition to his wife, Larry is survived by their children: Patricia "Trish" (Nick Hanson) Bailey of Norton Shore, MI and Gary (Wendy) Goodman of Sabina.  Also left to cherish his memory are grandchildren: Steven (Ashley) Bailey of Leesburg, Andrew (Krissy) Bailey of Washington CH, Gunnar (Shelby) Goodman of Troy, Gage (Marie) Goodman of Louisville, KY, and Caroline (Danny) O’Malley of Xenia; and great-grandchildren: Brystol Lynn, Raelynn Grace, Griffin Grace, Olivia Grace, Landon Robert, Decker Lee and Dustin Patrick.

Larry was preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Peggy Goodman.

Visitation will be held at Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, on Thursday, March 6, 2025, from 4-7pm.  Funeral services, also at the funeral home, will be held at 1 pm on Friday.  Burial to follow at Sabina Cemetery.
