Larry East, age 87, of Sabina passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at Court House Manor.

He was born in Dayton on May 12, 1937.

Larry is survived by his wife, Sue Minshall East.  The two were united in marriage on May 6, 1956.

Growing up in Milledgeville, Larry was a 1955 graduate of Washington Court House High School.  He then went on to serve in the Air Force.

Larry retired from the Ohio Dept of Rehabilitation and Corrections.  Prior to that, he worked for the Sabina Water Dept., Cincinnati Milacron, and the Steller Corp.

A lifelong lover of music, Larry played with many bands throughout his career.  Most notably, Larry played with the Wellingtons and currently with the Back-N-Time Express.

Larry is survived by his son and daughter in law, Dale and Chris East of Sabina.  Also left to cherish his memory are grandchildren: Tyler (Jen) Olds, Alex (Lyndsay) East and Michael Olds; along with his precious three great granddaughters: Kaylee Olds, Aribella and Ezri East; very special family members, Pam and Andy Olds; half-sister, Barbara Huff; sister-in-law Connie Minshall Eblin; and nephew Gregg Campbell.

Along Larry and Sue’s life journey they had the sadness of losing their son Doug and grandson Andrew.

A gathering of friends will be on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, from 5-7pm at Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to one’s favorite charity.

A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family.
