Larry F. Curliss, age 79, of Wilmington, passed unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 20, 2020.
Born in Wilmington, on July 14, 1940, he was the son of the late Oscar and Ferroel McHenry Curliss.
Larry is preceded in death by his wife, Ronda Houseman Curliss, who passed on June 18, 2008.
A 1959 Wilmington High School graduate, Larry went on to serve in the United States Air Force Reserves. He worked at Crystco, Uhl’s IGA and Kim’s Diner in Sabina. Larry was a sports enthusiast; he enjoyed bowling, coaching baseball, and watching OSU sports.
Larry is survived by his children: Amy Blair of Hillsboro and Brian Curliss of Harvey, Louisiana; grandchildren: Kiara Blair, Nathan and Bryce Curliss; and siblings: Blanche Curliss, Evelyn Waits, Maureen Curliss, Jane Leidenhier, and Marilyn Hild, and Michael Curliss.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by two infant siblings; sisters: Betty Greeley, Virginia Steele and Ruth Allen; and brothers: Robert, Ralph and Oscar, Jr.
Friends may call, while practicing social distancing, at Littleton Funeral Home, on Tuesday, May 26, 2020, from 2:30 - 3:30pm. A graveside service, at Sabina Cemetery, will take place at 4pm.
