Kathy (Bunton) Yeary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kathy Yeary, who peacefully departed this world on July 13, 2024, at the age of 68, in her home in Lewisville, North Carolina. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Kathy's legacy is one of love, devotion, and a zest for life that touched everyone who knew her.

Kathy was the cherished wife of Kevin Yeary, with whom she shared 48 beautiful years of marriage since their wedding on June 5, 1976. Together, they raised their children, Christa (Matt) Krohn and Andrew (Lauria) Yeary, who were a constant source of pride and joy for her. Kathy was also a doting grandmother to Tyler Krohn, Halle Krohn, Gunnar Yeary, Daxton Yeary, and Larkyn Yeary, who were the light of her life.

Born in Georgetown, to her late parents, Charles and Leona Bunton, Kathy was a graduate of Western Brown High School. Once her kids were in middle school, she dedicated 26 years of her professional life to Cintas in Mason, Ohio, where her work ethic and camaraderie left a lasting impact on her colleagues.

Kathy was a recent transplant to Lewisville, North Carolina, where she and Kevin relocated five years ago to enjoy a warmer climate and a more serene lifestyle. Their farm became Kathy's haven, where she continued her immense joy in cooking and baking for and with her loved ones, loving on farm animals, cultivating her beautiful flowers, bird watching, and, most importantly, spending quality time with her beloved grandchildren who were her neighbors. Her vibrant spirit and nurturing nature made her the heart of the family and a cherished friend to many.

Kathy is survived by her loving siblings: Charlie (Nancy) Bunton, Kenneth (Sara) Bunton, Thomas (Kimberly) Bunton, Eliane (Dennis) Ellis, and Mark (Susie) Bunton. Her family and friends will forever remember her for her kindness, unwavering support, and infectious smile.

The family of Kathy Yeary will receive friends and family on Saturday, July 20, 2024, from 11:00-1:00 in Sabina, Ohio at Littleton Funeral Home, followed by her burial at Centerville Cemetry on Cox Road in Lees Creek, Ohio to celebrate her life and share the many memories she leaves behind. Kathy's presence in our lives was a gift and her memory will forever remain in our hearts.
