John V. Hart, age 91, of Goodlettsville, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday June 17, 2023.
Born August 8, 1931, in Highland County, he was the son of Joel and Minta Storer Hart.
John is survived by his wife, Thelma Hoffer Hart, of 71 years.
After graduation from high school, John joined the Army and served during the Korean Conflict. He was with the Sabina Farmers Exchange for many years and retired from Airborne.
In addition to his wife, John is survived by his children: Ella (Lee) Williams of Manchester, Becky (Brian) Ream of Washington Court House, Betty (Chris) McCrary of Goodlettsville, TN., Jamie (George) Williams of Franklin, TN, and was preceded in death by a daughter by choice and her husband, Jeana and Randy Thompson.
Also left to cherish his memory are grandchildren: Nicole (Antonio) Ream-Sotomayor, Elyse Ream and LT Walters Fiancé, Dylan Thompson and Leah Jeffery, Fiancé, Brianna Williams and George Curtis Williams III; great grandchildren: Paio Sotomayor and Amalia Sotomayor; sister: Christina Smith; in-laws: Charlotte Hart and Emma (Larry) Goodman; along with several nieces and nephews.
John was also preceded in death by a grandchild, Baby McCrary, and siblings: Viola (Paul) Gillespie, Ethel Igo, Hobart Hart, Alma Jean (Forrest) Knauff, Arlena Hart, Byron (Eleanor) Hart, Jim Hart, Norma (John) Stump and brothers in-law, Robert Smith and Leroy Hoffer.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Societies.
Family will receive friends on Saturday June 24, 2023, from 1-4pm at Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, where funeral services will take place on Sunday, at 1:00pm. Burial to follow at White Oak Grove Cemetery.
