Joellen (Woods) Larrick

JoEllen Woods Larrick, age 84, of Leesburg, passed peacefully, surrounded by her children, on Saturday, June 13, 2020.

Born in Lees Creek on February 27, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Virgil and Hildred ‘Flint’ Woods.

JoEllen was a Wayne High School Graduate and was a devoted homemaker and farmer.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Leroy Larrick, on December 9, 2018. The two were united in marriage on July 30, 1953.

JoEllen is survived by children: Marsha (Dean) Hatfield, Mark (Peggy) Larrick, Marta Cox and Marvin (Christy) Larrick.  Also left to cherish her memory are grandchildren: Holly (Matt) Shoemaker, Matthew Larrick, Hannah (Ren) Allard, Lauren, Grace and Owen Larrick, and Adam (Katherine) Cokonougher; and great-grandchildren: Beckett and Paxton Allard and Memphis and Anzli Beatty.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son in-law, Gary Cox; granddaughter, Sara Jo Larrick; and her sister, Darlene Harris.

Memorial contributions would be appreciated to Hospice of Fayette County.

The Larrick family will receive friends at Littleton Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 17, 2020, from 10am-Noon, when a funeral service will begin.  Burial to follow at Highland Cemetery.
