Jodi Nadine Tompkins, age 28, of Sabina, passed away after a brief hospital stay on Wednesday, June 29, 2022.
Born in Wilmington on September 8, 1993, she was the daughter of the late Jay Dane Tompkins and Jacqueline Hayslip Furguson of Sabina.
Jodi attended East Clinton and ECOT Schools. She was happiest spending time with her family, enjoyed doing hair and nails, having ‘girls days’, playing games, watching television and movies, shopping, and trying her luck at the casino. Jodi liked crafting – recently taking up tie-dye, candle making, coloring and learning about gems and crystals. Jodi loved being outside walking, hiking or riding her bike. She had a great affection for animals.
Jodi is survived by her mother; sister, Jena Louise (Cade Valentine) Furguson; paternal grandmother, Jeanann Tompkins; partner, Danny Elbe Wilson; and stepsister, Amanda Rae Furguson. Also left to cherish her memory is her former stepfather, Ray Furguson; aunts: Jennifer (Tom) Ball and Jandi Wilt; cousins: Beth Skaggs, Emily Blum, Amy Ball, Kayla (George) Beatty, and Brettany Tompkins.
In addition to her father, Jay Dane Tompkins, Jodi was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents: Susan ‘Sally’ Wilt and Loy ‘Jack’ Hayslip; paternal grandfather, Harold Rexford ‘Rex’ Tompkins; uncles: Brett Tompkins and Michael ‘Loy’ Farquer; and great grandparents: Mary and Vernon Knisley, Jasper and Opal Hayslip, Earnest and Wilma Clifton, and Harold and Dora Nadine Tompkins.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 6, 2022, from 2-4pm, when a funeral service will begin, at Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina. Those wishing to make memorial contributions may do so to Littleton Funeral Home, in order to help with final expenses.
