Joann (Butcher) Dawson

JoAnn Dawson, age 80, of Sabina, passed peacefully on Monday, August 30, 2021, at Carriage Court in Washington Court House.

Born in Bloomingburg on August 16, 1941, she was the only child of Hubert and Leola ‘Sis’ Butcher Lucas.

After graduation from Bloomingburg High School, Jo Ann went on to Taylor Beauty School.  From 1962-2015, she owned and operated ‘JoAnn’s NuLook’ in Sabina.  JoAnn loved Bingo and playing slot machines, every chance she got.

Left to cherish her memory is daughter, Kelly (Randy) Williams, and son, Kevin (Carol Knisley) Dawson, all of Sabina.  She also leaves behind grandchildren: Justin Dawson, Shyanne (Sheldon) Pryor, Kacee Dawson, Matt (Brittany) Williams, and Macey Williams; great-grandchildren: Jadyn, Brantin, Lela, Rylie, Kohyn, Kase, Asher, Mason and Easton; and numerous friends and several cousins.

A public graveside service will be held on Friday, September 3, 2021, at 10 am, at Bloomingburg Cemetery.  Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, has been entrusted with arrangements.
