Jerry D. Runk, Sr.

Jerry D. Runk, Sr., age 73, of Melvin, passed peacefully at home on Monday, July 5, 2021.

Born on November 10, 1947, he was the son of the late Ronald Arthur and Lena Grace Huffman Runk.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Beverly Bosier Runk.  The two were united in marriage on February 16, 1966.

Jerry was a graduate of Simon Kenton High School.  He worked at Irwin Auger Bit and retired as owner operator truck driver.  Jerry was an avid Cincinnati Bengals and Ohio State fan.

In addition to his wife, Jerry is survived by his sons: Jerry, Jr. and his wife, Tracey, and Mike, and his wife, Melissa.  Also left to cherish his memory are grandchildren: Jordan (Steve) Groves, Jerry, II (Tracy) Runk, Jarred Runk and Mikala Runk; great-grandchildren: Larkyn, Peyton, Mia, Kara and Case Groves and siblings: Jim (Kathryn, dec.) Runk, Danny (Carolyn) Runk, Jeff (Linda) Runk., Mickey (Rhonda) Runk, Corky (Hubert) Rumer and Gayle (David) Cox; along with a host of additional family members.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and sisters: Wahneta Haffner, Louise Beacroft, and Judy Ann Runk.

Family will receive friends on Monday, July 12, 2021 from 5-8pm at Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina.  Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, at 2pm, also at the funeral home.  Burial to follow at Sabina Cemetery.
