Jeff McKenzie, age 60, of Wilmington, passed away unexpectedly, at home, on Saturday morning, February 18, 2017.
Born in Cherry Fork on January 19, 1957, he was the son of the late Darrell D. McKenzie and Shirley L. Whaley McKenzie of Lynchburg.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Connie Damron McKenzie.
He was a 1975 graduate of Lynchburg High School, where he was active in the FFA. He had just retired from UPS Freight and had also been a driver for Schwan's Ice Cream. Jeff was a member of the Wilmington Assembly of God, loved fishing and woodworking.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children; Rhonda (Dane) Wells of Lynchburg, Leah (Matt Camp) Damron of Hamilton, Melissa (Jeff) Colley of New Vienna, Jeffrey McKenzie of Hamilton and Jessie Damron of Wilmington. Also left to cherish his memory are fifteen grandchildren and his brother, Jamie (Charlotte Cody) McKenzie of Seaman.
Visitation will be on Thursday, February 23, 2017 from 4 - 6pm at the Wilmington Assembly of God (609 W. Locust St. Wilmington) followed by the funeral service at 6pm. A graveside service will be on Friday February 24, 2017, at 11am at the Tranquility Cemetery in Seaman, OH.
