James Leonard Dennis, age 97, passed peacefully on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at Autumn Years in Sabina.
Born in Frankfort, Ohio on February 11, 1920, he was the son of Goldie and William Dennis.
Jim was a mechanic and worked in various capacities in the automotive industry. He also worked at Wells Manufacturing in New Vienna, making toys.
Jim is preceded in death by his wife of nearly 60 years, Dorthea Pauline Davis Dennis, who passed on March 17, 2002. The two were married on August 18, 1944.
Surviving are Jim’s daughters, Lana Larrick, of Leesburg, and Janice Blazer, of Sabina. Also left to cherish his memory are grandchildren: Timothy Larrick, Tina (Bill) Figgins, Leann (Brian) Pauley, Deann (Ken) Whittenburg, and Stacey (Bart) Bartley; along with 12 great grandchildren, and 8 great-great grandchildren.
Memorial contributions are strongly suggested to Community Care Hospice.
Family will receive friends at Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, on Monday, March 27, 2017, from 11-1pm, when a funeral service will begin. Burial will follow at New Antioch Cemetery.
