James Penwell

James Penwell, age 72, of Midland, passed away at his home on Wednesday morning, December 26, 2018.

Born in Sabina on November 3, 1946, he was the son of Lawrence and Vesta Evans Penwell.

A Sabina High School graduate, James worked as a treatment plant operator at Lake Cowan State Park for 30 years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Sardinia, Scottish Rite in Hillsboro, and active in the Shrine.

James leaves behind his children: Michelle Penwell Leonard of Springfield and James (Rachael Frazier) Penwell of Blanchester.

Also left to cherish his memory are grandchildren: Rylan, James, Morgan, and Jessica; three great-grandchildren; step-son, Zonnie Hoffer; former wife, Charlotte Penwell; and sister, Karen Anderson.

Family will receive friends at Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, on Friday, December 28, 2018, from 4-5pm, when a funeral service will begin.
