James R. Moore

James R. Moore, age 74, of Wapakoneta, passed peacefully on Wednesday, March 31, 2021.

Born in Wilmington on January 28, 1947, he was the son of the late Robert M. and Ruth M. Fawcett Moore.

Jim is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Carolyn Flor Moore.

A 1966 graduate of Wilmington High School, Jim later served in the United States Army.  He retired from A.O. Smith Trucking of Tipp City, after 30 years of driving.  Jim was a former member of the Elks in Wapakoneta.  He loved riding his Harley and found great joy in watching his grandchildren’s sporting events.  Jim also enjoyed playing golf and watching NASCAR.

In addition to his wife, Jim is survived by their daughter and her husband, Bretta and Michael Hemleben, and his cherished grandchildren: Michael and Hayley.  Also left to cherish his memory are brothers, Frank (Emma) Moore of Sebring, FL and R. Joe (Laura) Moore of Celina.

A graveside service will be held at 11am on Monday, April 5, 2021 at Sabina Cemetery.  Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina has been entrusted with arrangements.
