James W. ‘Jim’ Durbin, age 53, of Sabina, passed peacefully on Wednesday morning, December 11, 2019.
Born in Kettering on May 1, 1966, he was the son of the late Arthur ‘Bill’ Durbin and Nancy Miller Durbin of New Vienna.
Jim is survived by his wife, Carol Jansen Durbin. The two were married in October of 1996.
Jim was a 1984 graduate of East Clinton schools. He worked as a Chief Surveyor for Southern Ohio Paving. Jim was a member of the Sabina Masonic Lodge, the NRA, HOG, and the Ohio Operating Engineers Local 18.
In addition to his wife, Jim is survived by their daughters, Kaitlin (Cameron Conner) and Stephanie Ratley-Middletown; one grandson, Cayse, due in January. Also left to cherish his memory are sisters: Jan (Roy, dec.) Satterfield, Joy (Jon, dec.) King, Julie (Stan) Blackburn, and Jackie (John) Wilks; mother in-law, Mary Brockman; sister in-law, Rachael (Kevin) Peters; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Jim is also preceded by his sister; June Hildebrecht.
Family will receive friends on Sunday, December 15, 2019, from 2-5pm at the Sabina Church of Christ. Graveside services and interment, at Sabina Cemetery, will be held at the convenience of the family. Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, has been entrusted with arrangements.
