Jacqueline L. (Ramsey) Snider

Jacqueline Snider, age 64, of Martinsville, and formerly of Portsmouth, passed on Saturday, June 15, 2019.

Born in Portsmouth, VA on July 28, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Donald Ramsey and JoAnn Hagaman Ramsey, who survives, of Portsmouth.

Jacque was a graduate of Wheelersburg High School.  She continued her education and received a Masters Degree from Rio Grande University.  For over 27 years, Jacque was a kindergarten teacher in Portsmouth schools.  She retired at the end of the 2014 school year.

She attended the New Antioch Church of Christ.  Jacque enjoyed shopping for clothes, trips to Walmart, helping on the farm where she lived with her husband, doing various chores and mowing the grass.

Jacque is survived by her husband, James Snider.

In addition to her mother, also surviving are siblings: Timothy (Beverly) Ramsey, Donna (Bruce) Dixon, and Lee Ann Ramsey and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends at Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, on Wednesday, June 19, 2019, from 2-4pm, when a funeral service will begin.  Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
