Harold L. Wilson

Harold L. Wilson, age 90, of Sabina, passed unexpectedly at the Christ Hospital on Monday, November 6, 2023.

Born in Sabina on July15, 1933, he was the son of Clarence and Ethel Snoddy Wilson.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 66 years, Sue Smith Wilson.  The two were untied in marriage on December 25, 1957.

Harold was a 1951 graduate of Sabina High School, where he was the valedictorian.  He served in the US Army following graduation.  Harold was a self-employed carpenter with Wilson Construction, had the Village Variety Store, worked at Palm Harbor and retired from Airborne Express.  He was a member of the Sabina Lions Club and the Sabina Church of Christ.

In addition to his wife, Harold is survived by their children: Susan Wilson and Dean Wilson, both of Sabina.  Also left to cherish his memory are siblings: Justine DeWitt of Washington DC, Rosie Almendinger of Columbus, Betty Travis of Florida, and Bonnie Warehime of Reynoldsburg; along with best friends, Jim and Patty Reese.

Harold was preceded in death by his son, Brian Wilson, and siblings: Charlie Wilson, Louella Wilson, Margorie Smallridge, and Darleen Smathers.

Family will receive friends at the Sabina Church of Christ on Monday, November 13, 2023, from 10am until 12Noon, when a funeral service will begin.  Burial to follow at Sabina Cemetery.  Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, has been entrusted with arrangements.
